Black Friday Pet Deals 2026: What's Actually Worth Buying

Which dog and cat products are worth waiting for on Black Friday 2026, which aren't, and how to tell a real pet deal from a fake markdown.

By PawPerfect Team

Black Friday lands on November 27 this year, with Cyber Monday on November 30. Amazon usually starts dropping prices a week or so before that, so if you’ve had a pet camera or a self-cleaning litter box sitting in your cart since summer, now’s the time to watch it.

Here’s the thing most deal lists won’t tell you, though: plenty of pet products barely move on Black Friday. Food, litter, and treats get a few percent off at best. The real markdowns tend to land on the gadgets: cameras, vacuums, DNA kits, smart feeders. That’s where waiting actually pays off.

So this isn’t a list of 200 “deals.” It’s the short list of things from our own reviews that are worth timing, plus a few we’d skip.

About prices on this page

We don’t list sale prices here because they change by the hour during Black Friday week, and a stale number is worse than none. Every link goes to the live Amazon page, so what you see there is today’s real price.

First: How to Tell If It’s Actually a Deal

A big red “40% off” badge doesn’t mean much. Some sellers quietly raise the list price in October so the November “discount” looks huge. Three quick checks:

  1. Look up the price history. Paste the Amazon link into camelcamelcamel or install the Keepa browser extension. If the “sale” price is the same as it was in August, it’s not a sale.
  2. Compare against the brand’s own site. Furbo, Embark, and Whisker (Litter-Robot) often run their own Black Friday pricing, and sometimes it beats Amazon.
  3. Check the seller. For anything electronic, make sure it says “Ships from and sold by Amazon” or the brand’s official store. Third-party sellers on deal days are where returns get messy.

If a price passes all three, buy it. If you’re not sure, it’s usually fine to wait until Cyber Monday. Prices on the big brands rarely jump back up in between.

Worth Waiting For

Pet cameras

This is the category we’d circle in red. Pet cameras are expensive the rest of the year, and they’re one of the more reliably discounted things on Black Friday.

The Furbo 360° is the one we recommend for most people. It rotates, so your dog can’t just wander out of frame, and the treat toss works without fiddling. If the Furbo’s price still makes you wince after the discount, the Petcube Bites 2 Lite is a solid step down. It doesn’t rotate, but the view is wide and the audio’s clear. On a tight budget, the Wopet D01 Plus does the basics for much less, with clunkier build quality.

One warning: a cheap camera can get expensive if the useful features sit behind a monthly plan. Read the subscription fine print before you get excited about the sticker price. We break that down in our pet camera guide.

Self-cleaning litter boxes

These are the biggest-ticket items on this list, so even a modest percentage off is real money.

The PETKIT PuraMax is our pick if you want most of what a Litter-Robot does at roughly half the price, and it’s roomier inside, which big cats appreciate. The Litter-Robot 4 is still the best one we’ve looked at, but check Whisker’s own site as well as Amazon before you buy. If you’d rather avoid the robot route entirely, the PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Pro is simpler and cheaper upfront. Just budget for the crystal litter trays, because that’s where it gets you.

Vacuums for pet hair

Vacuum brands go hard on Black Friday, and pet-specific models aren’t an exception.

If you’ve got a shedder and stairs, the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Lift-Off is the one we’d grab. Its self-cleaning brushroll means you’re not cutting hair off it with scissors every week. It’s loud, though, so a nervous dog may leave the room. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away is the sturdy, no-drama alternative. And if you’ve been eyeing a Dyson V15 Detect all year, this is the week. It’s rarely what we’d call cheap, but the anti-tangle head really does handle long cat hair.

Dog DNA tests

DNA kits get marked down around most gift holidays, and Black Friday is usually one of the better ones. They also make an easy gift for the dog person who has everything.

The Embark Breed & Health Kit is the most thorough of the bunch, with the health screening being the part worth paying extra for. If you just want to settle the “what IS he?” argument, Wisdom Panel Essential costs a lot less and still gives you a solid breed breakdown, with a much smaller health panel.

See our DNA test comparison for what these tests can’t tell you, which matters more than people think.

Smart feeders and fountains

Smaller discounts here, but they add up if you’ve been meaning to buy one anyway. The PetSafe Smart Feed 2.0 is the feeder we trust most for reliability. A feeder that skips a meal is worse than no feeder. For water, the Pioneer Pet Raindrop is the stainless fountain most picky cats end up accepting, and if you’re tracking a cat’s water intake for kidney reasons, the Catit PIXI Smart Fountain actually logs it.

Big furniture: cat trees and orthopedic beds

Bulky stuff tends to get marked down because retailers want it out of the warehouse before the new year.

For a large cat, the Feandrea 81-inch tower is the one we’d look at first. It’s wide at the base and doesn’t wobble when a 16-pound cat launches off the top. It also takes up a lot of floor, so measure first. For an older dog with stiff joints, the Bedsure Orthopedic Bed is the sensible “one in every room” buy. The Big Barker is better, but it’s rarely on sale, so don’t hold out for it.

Fine to Buy Anytime (Don’t Wait for These)

  • Food. Pet food barely moves on Black Friday, and switching brands just because one’s on sale is a good way to upset your dog’s stomach. If you want savings, Amazon’s Subscribe & Save discount on your usual food will beat most Black Friday “deals.”
  • Litter. Same story. Stocking up on a few bags of Dr. Elsey’s at a small discount is fine, but don’t buy six months’ worth of a brand your cat hasn’t tried.
  • Chew toys. A KONG Extreme costs about the same in March as it does in November. Buy it when you need it.
  • Crates. The MidWest iCrate is already cheap and rarely gets much cheaper. If a new puppy is coming home, don’t wait on it.

What We’d Skip, Even Discounted

Cheap isn't always a deal

Be wary of no-name smart feeders and cameras showing 60–70% off from brands you’ve never heard of. The hardware is often fine. The app is what fails, and once it stops getting updates you’re left with a plastic box. We’d rather pay a bit more for a brand that will still exist next year.

Same goes for giant “value” bags of food or treats. Kibble goes stale and loses quality once the bag’s open, so a 40-pound bag only makes sense if your dog can finish it in about six weeks.

Gift Ideas for Pet Owners

Buying for someone else’s pet? The safest bets are things nobody buys for themselves: a DNA kit, a pet camera for the friend who worries at work, or a good fountain for a cat person. Skip food and treats unless you know exactly what the pet eats. Allergies and sensitive stomachs are more common than you’d think.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do Black Friday pet deals start in 2026?

Black Friday is November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is November 30. Amazon and the big pet brands usually start their sales about a week earlier, so it is worth checking prices from around November 20.

Are Black Friday pet food deals worth it?

Usually not. Pet food discounts on Black Friday are small, and Subscribe & Save on the food your pet already eats often saves more. Switching foods just to save a few dollars can also cause stomach upset.

Is it better to buy on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

For big brands, prices are usually similar on both days. If a product passes the price-history check on Black Friday, buy it then, because popular items like pet cameras can sell out.

How do I know if a pet deal is real?

Check the price history with a tool like camelcamelcamel or Keepa. If the sale price matches what the product cost a few months ago, the discount is mostly marketing.
